‘Communigage’ is the meeting place between Communications & Engagement, sharing information in a truly meaningful way that touches hearts and ignites imaginations.

Bringing together skills from a broad variety of backgrounds including Technical Theatre, Marketing, Recruitment, HR and Internal Communications, ‘Communigage’ helps businesses bring their stories to life.

Anna Wills founded Communigage Ltd in 2023 inspired in part by Walt Disney Imagineering - ‘Where creative story telling meets technical know-how’. Disney himself saw the magic in combining creativity and imagination with solid engineering principles to create truly unique and magical experiences. The first Imagineers were an unlikely grouping of scenic artists, animators and architects who had worked on different Disney projects in the early days, but Walt saw the potential of combining these vastly different skills into one package to make something special!

About Anna

Anna began her career in technical theatre creating shows to delight, inspire and transport audiences to other times and places. Venues and Companies included Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds, Cambridge Arts Theatre, York Theatre Royal and Bristol Old Vic to name a few.

Moving into marketing, she took the same emotive techniques from adapting page to stage to creating engaging copy and press releases that tell a meaningful story. One of Anna’s most memorable roles was as Press & Marketing Manager for Bristol Old Vic Theatre School’s ‘Director’s Cuts seasons, combining four very different pieces of theatre in one venue to showcase the emerging Director talent.

Staying in the West Country, Anna took on a role with Theatre Consultancy Carr & Angier and worked on the sound, lighting, stage machinery and comms systems for venues including Wexford Opera House, Theatre Severn (Shrewsbury) and Waterside Theatre Aylesbury.

Following the financial crash in the late Noughties, Anna made the switch into Executive Search and Recruitment. This move saw her begin partnering with high profile businesses across a number of sectors to understand and communicate their needs and ambitions to prospective employees and partners in the market. Anna has helped businesses to define and share what makes them different from their competition to attract and retain the best of the best.

Moving ‘In-House’ as a Recruitment and Engagement Strategist for businesses including Marshall Aerospace & Defence Group and ieso enabled Anna to both deepen and broaden her skill set to include Workforce Wellbeing, ED&I, EVP and Employer Brand, as well as continuing to fine tune the candidate experience for any role she worked on.

Most recently, Anna has brought all of these threads together into Internal Communications and Events, creating experiences and spaces where workforces can come together to connect, learn, share and celebrate.
